The intention behind the design of this project was to elevate the familiar experience of buying tiles by creating a luxury boutique rather than a showroom. Designed on the structure of the old ABC Costume Building, the existing architecture was removed and completely redesigned to reflect the refined modern style of the client.
The architecture is strongly tied to experience and interaction. For example, as display boards were shifted inside, the façade would appear differently. In addition, a monumental storefront system was designed that would contain revolving artist installations.
