The Key Biscayne Penthouse offers expansive views of Biscayne Bay and National Park Service monuments: Stiltsville and the Cape Florida Lighthouse.

The design responds to the clients’ request for a meditative, Zen-like space and to the site characteristics by creating a series of subtle shifts in textures and elevations.

The two large terraces (approx. 4000 square feet) are connected by a bridge like fountain. These terraces are developed as contrasting spaces –an urban side and a beach side – which were designed almost mathematically using strategic locations to compose specific views. Landscape is advantageously used to define the specific views and buffer the neighboring buildings.
