The Mindy Solomon Gallery specializes in contemporary emerging and mid-career artist and art advisory services. The gallery represents artists working in painting, sculpture, photography and video in both narrative and non-objective styles. The gallery program explores the intersection of art and design through an ongoing dialog between two and three-dimensional objects while embracing diasporic voices. Utilizing the gallery spaces as a platform for inventive exhibitions, museum visitations and public lectures Solomon invites a sense of community and aesthetic enrichment.

The design for Mindy Solomon Gallery was extremely focused on ensuring that the spaces should be both multi-functional and seamlessly connected with one another to ensure the best possible flow for the many different sets of visitors and partners. The design of the space is also intentionally “quiet” and minimal given that the various collections of art must remain the focus of the interior. The team utilized skylights to provide unexpected and abundant natural light in combination with more creative gallery lighting plans found in most traditional gallery spaces. The lighting elements were also chosen to provide maximum flexibility for the ever-evolving needs of each new installation with different artists working in many different mediums.
