Hammock Collection by Paola Lenti

The Hammock Collection is an interpretation of the hammocks found in many tropical beaches in the Americas and the Caribbean. The design combines the typology of a traditional sling support with a modern metal-tube frame. Its textile weave pattern is both new for Paola Lenti and unique to this collection. Often seen as a symbol of leisure and relaxation, hammocks were extensively used by various indigenous cultures as an easily transportable and comfortable form of sitting and sleeping. Hammocks are also often associated with life at sea, for allowing sleeping sailors to endure many nights on a rocking ship. The Hammock Collection is designed to be light and flexible and to be utilized within variously scaled settings, equally at home on a small patio or balcony or in large open gardens. Elemental in nature, the Hammock Collection adapts to its environment with its effortless presence and utmost ease of use.
