The Sacred Space Miami, completed in 2016, originated with the design of KARLA Conceptual Event Experiences, a company specializing in innovative event design and inventive floral arrangements. Reflecting the client’s aesthetic, in 2006, RGA transformed a 12,000-square foot converted warehouse into a space that acts as a luminous backdrop with the presence of radiating light elements including a translucent wall of light in the reception area and full-height acrylic panels providing muted illumination in the conference room.

Additionally, the surfaces of contrasting materials, including textural wallpaper and an epoxy floor with a glossy sheen, combine to provide a subtle complexity to the space’s monochromatic color scheme. Upon its completion, KARLA Conceptual Event Experiences was recognized with a National AIA Institute Honor Award. In 2015, construction began on the expansion of the original event company and KARLA Conceptual Event Experiences is now part of a larger series of buildings and gardens, The Sacred Space Miami, which includes the Plant Food + Wine restaurant and Matthew Kenney Culinary.
